Do Now

Something that ignites me is watching Kevin Durant give back to his community. My life goal is to be the doctor. If i'm a doctor I would go to different parts of the world and treat those in need.

Blog-Post Assessment

Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is my favorite restaurant. It is located at 470 Harmon Meadow Blvd, Secaucus, NJ. This location is very close to where I live. The restaurant serves typical bar food like buffalo wings, fries, burgers, chicken, and beer. Every time I go I like to get a basket of fries, 12 medium sauced wings, and sweet tea.

Buffalo Wild Wings was found by James Disbrow and Scott Lowery. The first B-Dubs was opened in Columbus Ohio. It was originally named Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck. They later decided to franchised the company. Today the company has over 600 locations in the US and they are planning to expand into Canada.
This is my favorite restaurant because I enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere. The food is amazing. The service always check on you and make sure your glass is filled. I feel that there is so much excitement coming from the sport fans watching their favorite sport. If this restaurant closed down I would start going to Popeyes.

Do Now Writing Prompt

If I was a teacher, I would add a Minecraft class. The class would be a elective that anyone can take. The class would consist of 15 to 20 students and a teacher. Each student would have a laptop with Minecraft installed. Minecraft can be used to teach students about architecture. Minecraft allows students to build whatever their minds can think of.

The class should be taken any period of the day except 7th because that's Web 2.0. The teacher assess the students on there creativity and participation. This is a relevantly easy class but it gives students the option to explore an architectural career.

My Weekend

Over the weekend, I mostly stayed home. On Wednesday, my mother took me to Gamestop where I picked up Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. Then the rest of the week I played Call of Duty. My dad took me to Popeyes and McDonalds for lunch. I finished the campaign of the game and leveled up to second prestige. Then on Sunday, we had a basketball game. We lost to a mediocre team because of the sophomores and the freshman center (EP). After the game, I went home and did all my homework.

Wikipedia Editorial
An editorial is a article written by senior editor. I was reading an editorial about Wikipedia and I saw many interesting points.
For those of you who don't know what Wikipedia is, it is an online encyclopedia. Wikipedia could be edited by anyone. So many of my teachers don't recommend us using it. My teachers say that Wikipedia is an unreliable source of information.
After reading this article I can honestly say that my views on Wikipedia has change greatly. I think the people who are making the changes are abiding by a code in which their information has to be accurate.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

Ms. Garvin is my world history teacher. She got her bachelor degree from Purdue University and her masters from Columbia University. Ms. Garvin teaches World History for the high school. In the beginning of the school year, I expected to learn about the Renaissance art and World War 2. So far we learned about the causes and effect of the Renaissance. Right now we are learning about the reformation.

Her grading policy is very reasonable. Tests and DBQs are worth 40% of your grades. Quizzes  and in-classwork are worth 40%. Homework and class participation are 20%.  The most interesting aspect 0f the class is the in-class activities she has. The in-class activities help me understand what we learned in class that day.

I think Ms. Garvin incorporates technology into her class very well. Since the school gave us Chromebooks we can further our technology skill. She has a class Wiki that she will use to hand for class projects. As you can see I am very excited for World History.
